I wish my arms were twice as long so that I could reach behind and pat myself on the back! HA

I know… pride is sinful, but sometimes you create something that makes you want to raise your Power Tools Prowess flag and wave that mug in the air like you just don’t care!

And this is one of those moments. That’s how I feel about this DIY drink holder (with a snacks compartment) that I made this weekend, guys!

RYOBI Nation must like me because they asked me to submit monthly projects to RYOBI Nation, which is an awesome place to get woodworking and building project ideas.

September’s theme is FANtastic Sports so I wanted to create something that I’d love to personally use.

Lately I’ve been using a lot more power tools and doing more building projects, so I was stoked to get started (but it’s still hard to maneuver around the old baby crib and other junk in there! LOL

In my workshop

I pulled together my materials as best as I could and made a DIY drink holder!

How cool is this for hosting game nights and parties at your house?!

(You’ll have to overlook the shots with empty root beer bottles… Sometimes DIY is just like that when you need a pretty picture!)

🙂

I can’t wait to show you how I made this and why this was such an important project for me (along with the awesome layering of stain I did to make this DIY drink holder look a bit weathered)!

(Let’s just say the learning curve was steep, y’all!)

  1. I would love to build a mail center where everyone could leave their keys, drop their messenger bags, sunglasses,. All the while, when you leave there would also be a mirror. The miter saw would help frame the mirror.
and make the shelf perfect. I love your ideas.

  2. I have so many projects I would use this for. First would be to build some storage for all the kiddos arts/crafts stuff!

  3. I’d use this for crown molding as well as many other diy projects.

  4. I also love to diy, when its time too change stuff around the house love to give it second change. I will love to make crown molding in the master like you did on yours. It love so nice and so classy and finished! we have a hand saw , and its so hard and heavy for us. Thank You!

  5. Where to begin.. crown moulding for the dining room, new frames for a few 1/2 done projects, and so many more. Hubby says that this ought to be my next big purchase, so if I don’t win, maybe Santa will bring me one!

  6. I recycle and up-cycle most of anything. If I can see something in it, I buy it. Whether I need to make a new table top from pallet wood for some forgotten table left outside, melding two different furniture pieces together, adding trim to make the piece look happier. If it has “good bones” and I have an image in my head, consider it done already. Thrift Diving keeps me on the computer way too much (lol), but helps to inspire untapped ideas in me. Thank you.

    Hi

I would to make new woodwork for my house and put matching casings around all the windows and doors. We have a lot of clam shell molding in two rooms, even around the windows. The window sills don’t fit and are way too shallow. The idea of winning a real mitre saw is making me drool….

Love all your before and after pictures and projects..

Thanks for the chance to win.

  8. My first project would be the crown molding in my bedroom. It is so do for a make-over. I have to say I click follow and might look at different things sent to me… but, if I see that it is yours; I am all over it! Love your style and spirit! mj

  9. This is so cute, and I just love all your work! Thank you for all you do.

If I had this saw, I’d finally be able to start working on the bed I’ve been dreaming about making for my daughter, with a trundle. I’d also be able to finish the various other projects I have waiting for me to complete.

  10. I would use the miter saw to build a dining room table and some wainscoting!!
