I have never really enjoyed decorating for holidays, including DIY Halloween crafts, despite having kids and knowing how much they’d enjoy it!
I have spent all my time prettying up the basics around the house, the last thing I ever wanted was to spend time decorating pumpkins!
But after participating in The Home Depot Style Challenge, where they sent me a box of Halloween decor and challenged me to decorate my front door, I had the most fun putting it all together!
Stay tuned, because tomorrow I’ll share with you how it all turned out!
In the meantime, check out some of the coolest Halloween DIY crafts from my blogger friends!
I have to admit, this is pretty genius!
My friend, Debbie, from Refresh Restyle, made the cutest DIY Halloween wreath out of a pair of women’s stockings!
Not to mention her front door is suuuuch pretty wood!
My reader, Cindy, offered to share her tutorial on how to make these amazing ghost lights out of a tomato cage, foam ball, lights, white sheets. Love this! And it takes less than 30 minutes.
My friend, Jeanie, from Create and Babble, is a master Silhouette crafter and DIYer. If you don’t know what a Silhouette is, it’s a personal cutting machine that cuts out cute shapes in vinyl…paper…you name it.
It’s around holidays like Halloween where crafters all over the world are breaking out their Silhouettes and creating pretty mantel decor like these frames Halloween frames and vinyl wall decals!
Oh….if you could see how much scrap wood I have in my garage, you’d know how excited I am over this project my friend Gail from My Repurposed Life created!
With nothing more than paint (and maybe a saw to even out the blocks of wood), you could create this in about 1 hour!
I have to admit that I’ve never considered turning pumpkins into planters, but hey–why not?? If my friend Karen from The DIY Bungalow did it, I can, too!
I love this idea from my friend Kim from The Kim Six Fix!
With just a little bit of sandpaper and paint, you can create potion bottles that look like they were dug up from a spooky grave!
DIY Halloween Candy Dispenser Upcycled From a Thrifted Fish Bowl!
How excited I am to show you guys what I made!
I had found an old fish bowl at the thrift store and decided to turn it into a DIY Halloween candy dispenser!
I’ll be sharing with you soon how I created it!
Stay tuned for the tutorial!
(P.S. Yes, it actually works when you pull the lever!)
DIY pumpkins are all the rage but have you ever decorated one by drilling little holes in it and making art that way? Well, my friend Wendi from H2O Bungalow did just that and it turned out really cute!
My Halloween Front Porch
I’m not a big decorator for Halloween, but I’m loving how this turned out!
What’s fun is that I made a large DIY Halloween spider from plywood and crib parts.
The legs of the spider were removed from the crib and attached to the plywood, then painted.
