How to Make a DIY Drink Holder
I wish my arms were twice as long so that I could reach behind and pat myself on the back! HA
I know… pride is sinful, but sometimes you create something that makes you want to raise your Power Tools Prowess flag and wave that mug in the air like you just don’t care!
And this is one of those moments. That’s how I feel about this DIY drink holder (with a snacks compartment) that I made this weekend, guys!

RYOBI Nation must like me because they asked me to submit monthly projects to RYOBI Nation, which is an awesome place to get woodworking and building project ideas.
September’s theme is FANtastic Sports so I wanted to create something that I’d love to personally use.
Lately I’ve been using a lot more power tools and doing more building projects, so I was stoked to get started (but it’s still hard to maneuver around the old baby crib and other junk in there! LOL

I pulled together my materials as best as I could and made a DIY drink holder!
How cool is this for hosting game nights and parties at your house?!
(You’ll have to overlook the shots with empty root beer bottles… Sometimes DIY is just like that when you need a pretty picture!)

I can’t wait to show you how I made this and why this was such an important project for me (along with the awesome layering of stain I did to make this DIY drink holder look a bit weathered)!
(Let’s just say the learning curve was steep, y’all!)

I would use the saw for several projects including covering the plywood on my barn with weathered fence pockets and adding trim to the various projects I do during the year.
I especially love the beer holder slots. Ultra adorbs.
What wouldn’t I like to build is a shorter list! I think I’d start small, like a shelf or tray, then when I’m more comfortable something bigger.
Love the drink holder! I’d use a miter saw to finish all my framing projects that are sitting around until I can afford a miter saw ๐
Serena,
I love all your DIY projects. The party box is fabulous. What would I do with the saw? Hmm, well that is eady to figure out. I would use the saw tilay wood floorung throughout the house. I have laid flooring in ine room with the help of my cousins saw. At the moment, we have nothing down but concrete. I tore the carpet out of the house and need to lay the res of the flooring. I was going to hire someone to finish it but if i had this saw I could finish it myself. Love all your projects.
This is great! You can also put in a plastic liner and add ice to keep the drinks cold. I might try this next after several projects that are all underway.. yes, I am ADD! haha! Thanks for sharing Serena!!
what would I do with that mighty fine piece of equipment ?? What wouldn’t I do !! Could start on the back yard bench I have needed (well,wanted) for so long, for the Quads (yes -Quadruplet grandkids) sand box with cover , of course, then off to do the saw for the HALLOWEEN decor with graveyard fencing — my oh my – i would do so MUCH !!! By the way LOVE your ideas and posts :}
I would use this Ryobi miter saw for all my projects in my basement shop. I currently have a small Ryobi down there, and I can’t do larger projects because it will only cut small boards. Winning this saw would totally change how I work on projects in the basement shop during the very hot summer days and very cold winter days.!
good luck to me!
thanks for the opportunity Serena and Ryobi!

I would start with finishing the moulding in my bedroom then the sky is the limit one I am empowered with this miter saw!!
I would use this to reconstruct the front of my house (siding & underpayment) that is badly damaged by a faulty roof & years of neglect from the previous owners. We have the new roof, so now the front of our house is falling off & I would use this to help me put up new wood & someday maybe even some wicked cedar shingles for siding ๐
That would be dreamy.
