I’m kicking myself yet again, you all. I seem to be doing that a lot lately. LOL
Remember this wine rack that I bought for $20 at the thrift store recently? I’m not even sure if I had shown you. I have been busy with furniture painting classes and trying to be a successful vendor (keyword: trying) at my new booth, that I may have forgotten!
Well, here it is:
I bought it with the intention of refinishing it to put in my new booth. It was super cute, and for $20?? Unbelievable deal!
It even had cute ceramic holders on the side, a rooster and pig.
“Life” got in the way, and my very first booth sale was coming up. And I didn’t have time to paint it.
So I took it, unfinished, to my booth, mostly just to be a “catch all” for some smalls that I was selling. A few people liked it, but come the final day of the tag sale, I was happy when the vendor across from me wanted to buy it.
She did buy it…Painted it….and put it in her own booth, at another location!
It really looks amazing!! And she staged it so well (much better than my own staging skills in my booth).
I’m a little jealous I didn’t refinish it myself, but I’m happy to see that it got the loving treatment it deserved. I wonder how much she’s selling it for…).
And it just reaffirms that I’ve got a good eye for gems sitting in the rubble at the thrift store ;).
