I was so excited to see my friend Patricia join my 30-Day August Upgrade Room Challenge! It’s always fun having people sign up, but even cooler when it’s people you know! 🙂 Not sure why. But I’m glad to have her!
Here are the ‘BEFORE” shots of Patricia’s guest bathroom. I remember those style of lights!! Throwback!!
But she’s been working hard, and I see the difference already. I LOOOVE that tile! Bye bye old vinyl!
In Her Own Words
“I did not get to finish my guest bathroom update in time but I am well on my way and I am very excited to see the end result.
I hadn’t taken on a project of this magnitude before so I had to request some help. My dad helped me remove the toilet and the vanity top and my father-in-law [FIL] will be helping me change the light fixture and install the ceramic tile floor. I found some wood rot along the base of the tub when I removed the peel-n-stick tile that was there. I scraped up as much of the wood rot as I could and with my FIL’s help, I will be patching it up and leveling it out so that we can lay down the new ceramic tile.
I also plan on giving the vanity cabinet a fresh coat of white paint and I will be buying a new vanity top and bathroom faucet. I reused a lot of what I already had to keep the cost down.
When all is said and done, I will have spent about $250 total on this project.”~Patrica
I love that Patricia wasn’t scared to tackle a project like this, especially since she’s never done it before. I have to admit, we 30-Day Challengers are a tough group of women!!!
Way to go, Patricia!
I’ll be updating this post with “AFTER” pics when Patricia is all done!
