This family room makeover makes me drool. Could you imagine walking into this room to chill with your family after a long day of work?
When Lynn joined our Make It Happen March Challenge, where we focus on completing one project, I was excited to see where she was going with this room.
She and her husband had pulled up these old ceramic tiles and were laying new tiles that would look like wood flooring.
Once they got up all the tiles, they were ready to lay the new tiles.
I actually really love these tiles!
I would love to do something like this in my basement!
The funny thing is that over in the 30-Day Room Makeover group on Facebook, everyone was saying that we loved the color of the walls!
But this was the “BEFORE” color.
The whole space was getting a fresh, new color!
And I can’t believe how amazing the family room looks now!
Doesn’t it look so cozy in there??
And that buffet-turned-TV-stand is my favorite! The shape of it is gorgeous, but she also did a nice job on painting it!
I like open spaces like this and how the family room flows into the dining area.
And that little bar with hanging wine glasses?? LOVE THAT!!
The floor looks awesome, too!
Lynn was asking me what I would do with these lamps. I told her that I love the little pops of turquoise around the room and I think the lamps would look great in that same color.
She also has plans to paint the shelf that’s hanging under the pictures.
Lynn did such a great job!
It takes a lot of work to pull together a makeover like this in just 30-ish days!
(And P.S. I’ve never seen a ceiling fan I really like, but this one–I dig it!).
Well done, Lynn!
- The floor tile was from Floor Decor.
