I’m not new to blogging; I’ve been a veteran blogger for the past four years, after the birth of my oldest son when I took to blogging as a way to not only share his life and progress with friends and family, but to document my life as a mom. I even began documenting and tracking my resolutions and goals, with the aim to end procrastination (UPDATE: I started another blog called Get Your Life Straight, which focuses on my desire to start doing better in all parts of my life: money, health, eating habits, relationship–you name it).
But now, however, I became inspired today when I stumbled upon a site, Pretty Handy Girl, about a chick who does home improvement stuff, decorating, and crafty projects. Of course it inspired me to take to the ‘net once again, in the same type of forum, to document and share my life as a homeowner!! (UPDATE: It’s amazing to say, but Brittany, from Pretty Handy Girl, now subscribes to MY BLOG! WHAT?!!?)
Well, it’s not to say that I haven’t been a homeowner before. I was. Up until last week, when I sold my beautiful condo, the first place I have ever really called home as an adult.
We were there for 8 years, hubby and I….It was where we brought our children home from the hospital… It was where were shared many happy times and sad times. And it was a bit emotional, in the end, selling, but actually, it’s been more of a RELIEF than anything. Condos just aren’t selling in that development, and people are dropping their prices in a mad dash to get out, move on, move up.
So thanks to our buyer for taking it off our hands! We’ll miss it! But………..
We have so much more to look forward to! And I look forward to sharing with those who are so inspired to keep up! So this blog will be dedicated to our projects, our renovations, our “before” and “after”s, and anything else crafty and worthy of mentioning.
