This is DAY 4 in the 31 Days to a Fabulous Room Makeover Series. Start HERE if you’re new to this series!
Right about now, you should have moved your clutter to another part of the house for DAY 3 of this 31 Days to a Fabulous Room Makeover Series.
The clutter is driving you crazy.
But it must be done.
You need to start with a fresh room, clear of clutter, so you can see what you’re working with!
And today on DAY 4, you’ve got to do some additional planning. It’s time to start thinking about planning your materials and budget!
DAY 4: Planning Your Materials and Budget
What do you need to get this room makeover looking fabulous?
Will you need paint?
The list is endless sometimes, depending on what your plans are for the room (see DAY 2:Planning Your Room Makeover).
Thankfully, I’ve made this part a little easier for you. 🙂
To help make planning your materials a little easier, I put together this 14-page Master Materials Checklist that you will be able to find a list of common DIY items and materials for your room makeover. Here’s a little sample of what it looks like!
There are some blank spaces on there, as well, to help you fill in your own ideas. Print out and make sure that you’ve got everything counted for so that you don’t have to make 10 million trips to the store :).
Creating a Budget
Although there isn’t a specific space for pricing, there’s plenty of space on the lines to jot down what each item costs. Decide how much you can afford to spend, and then see how much you’ll be spending once you’ve accounted for all your materials!
It’s easy to go over-budget, but if you account for as many materials that you’ll need before you get started, you can set a more realistic budget!
Tomorrow we’ll be talking about DAY 5: Get Your Clean On! for the 31 Days to a Fabulous Room Makeover Series!
