On Facebook tonight, I confessed that I rarely decorate for the holidays. GASP!! Awful, I know! I’m a flippin’ DIY’er! What do I even mean I don’t decorate for the season?!
Well, here’s confession #2: I’m terrible at giving gifts.
I just never make it a priority, but mostly, I just don’t know what to give people.
But this year, I’ve decided: 1) I will get a tree–a real one!, and 2) I will give gifts!
So I love to make these cute little gift boxes from scrapbook paper. I’ve decided that I’ll be making some cute gift boxes this year. And what perfect gift to stuff in them?
Why Extra Gum is a Perfect Stocking Stuffer for Coworkers
Well, for several reasons:
1) It only costs $0.96 from Walmart (read: CHEAP)……
2) Your coworkers’ breath usually reeks after lunch, and you’re much too nice to say anything about it directly over your 2:00 p.m. meeting, so–um, yeah–gum!
3) They’ll probably keep the gum in their desk, hence you’ll be able to “bum” gum long after yours has run out :).
So I stopped by Walmart to pick up Polar Ice and Spearmint because I wanted to mix and match the flavors in the stocking stuffers. I jammed as many packs as I could into my hands. Then I stopped by the craft store to pick up scrapbook paper to make the gift boxes. I couldn’t wait for this weekend to get started!
How to Make the Gift Box to Wrap Your Extra Gum!
I have three coworkers that I am going to give some Extra gum to, so I picked up some additional sheets of scrapbook paper!
I made some cute little tags to put inside the box, with a little reference to “STUCK.” Get it…? STUCK? GUM? 😉 I know…clever, huh?
I also will be making some gift tags for coworkers, with something funny like:
“We STICK together through good times and company parties.”
**snicker snicker** (Yes, another clever saying! LOL)
The awesome thing about Extra gum is that it’s not just the perfect gift for coworkers, but a great idea for my KIDS, too! Just making these gifts, my kids were begging me for the gum! HA. I’m sure I could get some serious bribing to get chores done if I held Extra gum as the “carrot.” 😉
So there ya have it! Fun, cheap, easy stocking stuffers for your coworkers, kids, friends–everyone! And this doesn’t cost a lot of money!
Give the gift of Extra gum! #giveextragum
