By now you should have already seen my own patio makeover which was part of the RYOBI Landscapes Outdoor Overhaul Patio Makeover Challenge!
But what you probably didn’t see are all the other people’s BEFOREs and AFTERs who had participated in the challenge! In fact, voting is LIVE right now so that you can vote for your favorite makeover! (Winner will win $1,000 in tools!).
This is the part I like the best: seeing just how creative other people can be with their spaces!
Who doesn’t love a good makeover, right??
So today I’m going to share with you a few of my favorite makeovers from the challenge.
Favorite Makeover #1 – The Pretty Little She-Shed Deck!
When I saw this makeover, I absolutely fell in love with it! Could you imagine having your man build this for you? And he used all old barn wood. Isn’t this great? See more pictures of this makeover here.
I absolutely love how this turned out!
Favorite Makeover #2 – Vacation in the Backyard
This patio makeover started out as a huge, boring square. This was their first home after recently being married. It was an awesome backyard, but it has no personality whatsoever.
But after a lot of sweat and tears (and mornings and evenings), they were able to turn into a vacation in their backyard–perfect for BBQs and game-watching!
Don’t you love it?!?!
Wait until you see the other sides of this patio makeover!
Favorite Makeover #3 – Waterfront Patio Makeover
My friend Wendi from H2O Bungalow couldn’t wait to participate in the Patio Makeover Challenge! She has spent all her time and effort sweating her butt off in the hot Florida sun so that she could create a beautiful oasis for her waterfront home. See more pictures of her makeover on RYOBI Landscapes.
Her patio looked gorgeous afterward!
And you should see the view from her patio–I’m jealous.

Favorite Makeover #4 – Unused Patio to Outdoor Oasis
My friend, Kim, from The Kim Six Fix blog did such a great job on her patio makeover!
Her patio was pretty much unused and uninviting.
See more pictures of her patio makeover here on RYOBI Landscapes!
She created hidden storage for her kids’ toys, and brightened up the whole area. Doesn’t it look awesome!!
Favorite Makeover #5 – Pretty Deck Remodel
This makeover is one of the favorites of the Patio Makeover Challenge! Before, the seating was old and uncomfortable, the deck needed a good pressure washing, and they built their furniture!
They had a great tip on building furniture: make sure you get your cushions first and then build your furniture, but it might be difficult to find cushions that fit your custom built furniture. Great tip!
If you love these patio and deck makeovers, check out over 50 patio makeovers on RYOBI Landscapes and vote for your favorite before August 18th!
So which one of these 5 are your favorites? 🙂
