When Jeanie from Create and Babble submitted her “BEFORE” pics when she joined my 30-Day August Upgrade Room Challenge, her bathroom looked…..well….normal. It didn’t have clothes lying everywhere…..it wasn’t covered in wallpaper….It even had pretty baskets. :). So I was wondering where she was going to take her bathroom. But she took her bathroom to a whole ‘nutha level!
I’m seriously impressed! And that tile….I have been eyeing that at Home Depot for the longest time. I always wondered how I could incorporate something like that into my master bathroom. I like how she did a border with it. Pretty and cost-effective, since she only needed a little bit!
Here’s what Jeanie had to say about her makeover!
In Jeanie’s Own Words
“I completed gutted the room. I painted the walls. Removed the baseboard and door that I repainted and reinstalled. Fixed and spray painted the hinges (the door now closes properly!) Replaced the pedestal sink with a vanity and replaced the toilet. I added a glass tile border, paintable bead board wall paper, and lots of trim molding. I also added the paintable bead board wall paper to the ceiling and added crown molding. I installed new accessories (towel ring , paper holder, and faucet). I built and added a frame to the mirror. I spray painted the existing light fixture to coordinate with the Moen accessories. And replaced outlet and light switch plates to match. Whew!”~Jeanie
That little pedestal sink looks so lonely there. Like it just doesn’t fit the space. But that vanity and black fixtures with the white look perfectly suited for the space! And how cute is that hand towel??
That soft turquoise-ish color is so pretty!
