I have no idea how Beth managed to turn her laundry/craft room into what it is today. But she managed to rock her last makeover in the 30-Day June Room Challenge. So I’m not surprised that she rocked this 30-Day August Upgrade Room Challenge, too.
In Beth’s Own Words
“A laundry/craft room was hiding underneath all the mayhem. My house guests had to take the ‘walk of (my) shame’ just to get to the guest bathroom located in this sad excuse for a room. To transform the space: I emptied it, got rid of stuff that didn’t contribute to my vision or need, reorganized, shopped at thrift stores for inexpensive items, and utilized an amazing number of spray paint cans. In total, I spent about 200 dollars ( biggest expense being paints, wire laundry baskets and storage bins). The biggest challenges were finding the time to do the upgrade during my busiest month of the year — we had to utilize some vacation time from the husband so he could paint the room (I cut in and painted the trim) and watch kids for me. The easiest parts were shopping at thrift stores and using spray paint to color/cover things quickly. No longer am I going to be embarrassed by my disorderly habits that made the room the disaster it was. The room is now transformed — and I guess now I am too!!!”~Beth
How cute is the shoe-holder a-la-yarn-organizer!
She literally DIY’ed this whole room! I mean….where did she find time to do this?! 🙂 I’m amazed! I love the turquoise (my favorite color, by the way). And I like how she mixed it with green.
